Hey there, I'm Carla Morel! A Melbourne-based multidisciplinary designer passionate about bringing ideas to life through thoughtful branding, visual storytelling and strategic design. I love finding the balance between creativity and strategy to curate authentic, people-focused outcomes that leads people to achieve their marketing goals and make an impact.

My interests span across brand identity, illustration, experiential marketing and digital content, drawing on my love for combining traditional and digital media. My broad scope includes traditional artmaking, photography and the Adobe Suite, allowing me to bring a curious, expressive approach to deisgn. Balancing this with empathy, organisation, problem solving, strong relationship building and communication, allows me to deliver functional and creative outcomes in a unique, authentic design style.

Through university projects, I have explored brand identity, packaging, digital UX/UI design, print media and integrated marketing campaigns. Working both independently and collaboratively, I've developed skills in visual storytelling, creative problem-solving, communication and concept development. I have collaborated with a freelance client in the exercise physiology sector to develop a brand identity tailored to their business, audience and brand values. This process involved translating my client's needs into a considered, innovative visual direction, to establish a cohesive, distinctive brand presence and communicate their values. In 2023 I was presented with the 'Premier's VCE Award' for my individual graded assessment score regarding Arts Creative Practice, recognising my creative practice and artistic development. This achievement reflects my longstanding interest in experimentation, visual expression and communication through creative work.

I'm passionate about producing meaningful, impactful work, collaborating with other creatives who push and inspire me, and exploring new experiences to explore fun ways of creative expression. During my free time, you can find me drawing, playing basketball, reading, playing board-games, listening to music, clothes shopping, taking photos and travelling.
